Greetings SGA members and readers of Early Georgia

I’m sure many of you have noticed the unfortunate lack of a Fall 2012 issue of our journal. Due to several minor setbacks, this issue is late, but is currently in production and will be sent to all SGA members who paid dues for the 2012 year.

Looking ahead, we have a special issue planned for Spring 2013: a long-awaited companion to the popular Profile Papers. This issue will include selected articles from SGA’s print version of our newsletter, The Profile, from 1992 to 2009, when The Profile became a digital publication, with all stories available on this website.

Our Fall 2013 issue will be thematic, including several submissions on the topic of shallow geophysics methodology and application on historic sites throughout the state.

In closing, I once again urge you to consider submissions to our worthy journal. Early Georgia is a product of the dedicated contributors, reviewers, and volunteer staff who work together to shed light on the archaeological efforts and discoveries in our great state. We constantly need new material to review to keep Early Georgia both relevant and timely. I look forward to seeing your future submissions!

Sincerely, M. Jared Wood, Editor, Early Georgia (email)
