Jim Langford returns to lecture on “part two” of the follow-up Spanish Expedition to northwest Georgia. Jim’s first lecture, “When the World Came Crashing Down” drew a capacity crowd and amazed the audience with graphic history about De Soto’s exploration to the Etowah Valley, Native American Mississippian culture, battles and records found in the Spanish archives about his journey to what became Bartow County. The part two lecture reveals a second Spanish expedition some twenty years later with a mission to establish a colony in northwest Georgia.
