The SGA Spring 2017 Meeting Announcement and Registration

The SGA Spring Meeting will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Savannah as part of 2017 Archaeology Month celebrations. The theme for this year’s Archaeology Month is “Raised from the Depths: The Archaeology of the Civil War in Georgia.” We will meet at the DoubleTree Inn, 411 West Bay Street, Savannah, GA 31401. SGA Spring Meeting 2016

May is Archaeology Month in Georgia! The SGA is proud to announce the Spring “Meeting” will be held on Friday, May 20-21, 2016 in St. Marys & Cumberland Island, Georgia as part of 2016 Archaeology Month celebrations. The theme for this year’s Archaeology Month is “Dynamic Borders: The Archaeology of Cumberland Island.” – exploring pre-contact and historic archaeological sites across Cumberland Island, the dynamic environment of a coastal barrier island and the impacts of climate change to Georgia’s coastal resources. Call for student papers or posters, Fall 2015 SGA meeting

The SGA is soliciting papers for the fall meeting to be held in Gwinnett County on October 17, 2015. All presenters and topics are welcome. This meeting is especially geared toward recent archaeological research being carried out by college students. Please submit your abstracts by October 5.
