The ArchaeoBus is touring in October 2010!

In her diary, Abby notes that she attended the CoastFest in Brunswick on October 2nd—along with over 7500 human visitors!

Then, from October 7 through 17, the ArchaeoBus will be in Perry, south of Macon, at the Georgia National Fair. Last year, the fair hosted over 400,000 visitors, so we hope to see a “fair” (sorry, couldn’t resist) percentage of several hundred thousand people visiting the ArchaeoBus at the Fair this year.

On October 28 and 29, the ArchaeoBus will be at the Georgia Conference on the Social Studies in Athens, which means lots of teachers can learn about this SGA outreach tool.

We are excited that the ArchaeoBus can be visited by so many people. These endeavors involve many volunteer hours, to coordinate the arrangements, to attend the bus during the open hours of the events, and to move the bus from location to location.
