Look up! You never know what’s above you, like this painted arched ceiling in…where?…have you seen it?

Here’s another clue, it’s in a building in a major marketing center for Georgia.

Okay, another clue: it’s not in a mall.

Here’s the last one: it’s above the entry area of a large meat-and-three restaurant that serves fried chicken and vegetables that patrons rave about.

And other delicious traditional meat-and-two/three dishes…

South of downtown Atlanta and southeast of where Interstate-75 crosses the Perimeter (Interstate-285) is the State Farmers Market. On these grounds near the entrance is a building that now houses a Welcome Center/Gift Shop and a restaurant.

The grounds and parking cover 150 acres, with a big area for nursery plants (shown in the photo), over 600 regular stalls for fruits, vegetables, herbs, and whatnot, and another zone for vendors in permanent “stores.”

The Legislature authorized the State Farmers’ Market in 1935, and the first one was opened in 1939. It moved to this location southeast of the airport in 1959.

So, if you go to the State Farmers’ Market, stop by the grand entry area in the restaurant/Welcome Center building, and…look up!
