We had over 200 attendees at the Seven Islands Artifact ID Day on October 23, 2010, about 100 of whom visited the SGA ArchaeoBus, tent, and tables. It was a great day for learning about archaeology, artifacts, and primitive skills. This event was bigger than ever, and featured authors of projectile point books for Georgia and Florida, John Whatley and Lloyd Shroder respectively, as well as Ocmulgee Archaeological Society (OAS) members Dr. Bob Cramer, Stephen Hammack, John McBride, and David Mincey at the ID tables, Dave Swetmon demonstrating flint-knapping, tours of Lower Creek Indian Chief William McIntosh’s home, live music on the back porch, and the SGA Archaeobus, Abby!

Special thanks go to OAS members Donna Hammack, Shannon Walker, and Dave Farrier for manning the bus and tent. Additionally, James Hammack helped with the tables at the tent, Thomas Hammack helped give Archaeobus tours, John Walker helped at the clay table, and members of Taylor County High School’s Benjamin Hawkins Historical, Expeditionary, and Geographical Society (BHEGS) helped at the tent. This group, which is headed by high school teacher Shannon Walker, included Miranda Smith, Jonathan Gunn, Joseph Gunn, and Marshall Smith.

Two Dalton points were recorded for the GA Paleoindian Recordation Database, and numerous other artifacts were looked at and contact information noted. We saw a banner stone, a Benton cache from Mississippi, an early Dutch coin, and countless Early and Late Archaic point collections. This is the 4^th^ year the event has been held, and is a joint venture between the OAS and the Butts County Historical Society (BCHS). In fact, four OAS members are also members of the BCHS, and the event could not have been put on without them! These are BCHS President Frankie Willis, event organizer and publicizer W.J. Shannon, and Tom & Erin Jones.

The OAS looks forward to this event each fall. It is a success each year because of the hard work and partnership of the two organizations, which share a love of Middle Georgia history and archaeology!
