 The Gwinnett County Chapter of SGA, Gwinnett Archaeological Research Society (GARS), along with Fort Daniel Foundation (FDF) members are sponsoring a Frontier Faire to be held Saturday, October 15, 2011, from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday, October 16, 2011, from 11am to 4pm. All SGA members and their guests are cordially invited to attend.

The event is open to the public, and is $2 donation per person entrance fee. Funds are used to support efforts to preserve the site (which is currently on private land). The faire will feature a trading post, artifact exhibit, old tool display, food, brick kiln, and all archaeological activity up to this date will be featured.

Student groups will be participating in an archaeological program and learning proper archaeological methods. Pottery reconstruction activities will be provided for smaller children. This event is handicapped-accessible.

Free parking will be at the church across the street. The address is: 2505 Hwy 124 (Braselton Highway), Buford, GA 30519, (near the corner light at Gravel Springs Road).
