The Fort Daniel Foundation and the Gwinnett Archaeological Research Society will hold their Annual Frontier Faire on October 15-16, 2011, at 2505 Braselton Highway 124, Hog Mountain, Dacula, Georgia. The Faire will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011, from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday, October 16, 2011, from 11am to 4pm. A public lecture on the history and archaeology of the Fort Daniel site will be presented October 13^th^ by Dr. Jim D’Angelo at the Fort Daniel Elementary School at 1725 Auburn Rd, Hog Mountain, Dacula, Georgia.

 Featured at this year’s Faire will be a ‘Hog Mountain Trading Post’ tent, exhibition of old tools in the GARS tent, and lots of archaeology including: participation of students from Fort Daniel Elementary School, Twin River Middle School, Georgia Gwinnett College, and Georgia State College under the direction of several Georgia archaeologists/professors. Georgia Southern University will be demonstrating GPR, Magnetometry and other uses of technology in archaeology. The SGA booth will feature pottery reconstruction for the little ones, and there will also be artifact washing and registration. There will be much more as well for kids and adults, including our 1812 War tent-Museum.

 The flag raising ceremony, conducted by military veterans from the Gwinnett Memorial Museum and local Scouts, will be at 11 am on both days. Free parking will be at the church across the street. The address is: 2505 Hwy 124 (Braselton Highway), Buford, GA 30519, (near the corner light at Gravel Springs Road). Admission is $2 or $5 per family.
