SOGART is a Chapter of the SGA based in Douglas. SOGART stands for South Georgia Archaeological Research Team. SOGART’s Dwight Kirkland writes…\

SOGART has set the date for the 2012 Symposium on Southeastern Coastal Plain Archaeology at August 18th. It will be held, as usual, in the science building auditorium (Stubbs Hall) on the campus of South Georgia College in Douglas, Georgia. Registration will begin at 8:00a, and the meeting will commence at either 8:30a or 9:00a, depending on the number of presentations. It will end sometime late in the day between 4:00p to 6:00p, again depending on the number of presentations.

This is an official call for papers.

If you want to make a presentation at this year’s meeting, send me a message with the title. Remember, you can change the title or even the subject of your presentation at anytime before the meeting date. If you don’t have a subject or title, but know you want to present, just let me know so I can reserve a slot in the schedule for you.

I look forward to seeing everyone again and hearing about all the neat research going on in the Coastal Plain. Click here for an announcement suitable for posting. Please post in the appropriate places.
