The ArchaeoBus and SGA’s exhibit area at 2011 CoastFest.

Greetings All,

Beautiful crisp fall weather tells us it’s that time of year again…time for CoastFest in Brunswick, Georgia.

The Society for Georgia Archaeology and the Golden Isles Archaeological Society will once again bring Abby the ArchaeoBus to CoastFest.

We invite you to participate. Help visitors try our hands-on archaeology activities in the bus and at tables under tents outside. It’s a great way to share information about the importance of archaeology and site preservation, in addition to being able to go to the festival yourself and enjoy the many activities throughout the day. (Don’t worry if you haven’t worked the bus before, it’s easy, fun, and we’ll show you how!)

Please email me if you would like to join us at the ArchaeoBus. We will be setting up at 8 AM. The festival runs from 10AM–4PM, Saturday, October 6, 2012.

PLEASE PASS THIS INVITATION ALONG TO OTHER GOOD HELPERS WHO MAY BE INTERESTED IN THIS FUN ACTIVITY.

Email or call if you have questions 706.341.7797.

Thanks!!

Rita

June is the first full month when schools of all kinds release students of anthropology and archaeology, along with their professors, to “get down to earth” in archaeological pursuits.
