This month’s speaker will be Erin Drake, Senior Archaeologist with Terracon, Inc., of Duluth, GA. Her discussion is called “Discovering the Past: Archaeology and Georgia’s First People.” She will examine how archaeological sites have formed our understanding of cultural periods in Georgia, how archaeologists decide where and how to excavate, and how to be good stewards of our cultural heritage resources.
