The Greater Atlanta Archaeological Society has recently released its May newsletter- Atlanta Antiquities Vol. 6, No. 5. The newsletter contains information about the May guest speaker, David Amrine who will be giving a talk titled “A Primer on Nails in Archaeological Contexts or: ‘How to Stop Worrying and Love the Nail”.  Also included in the newsletter is a short report written by Curt Yeomans about the Fort Daniel Foundation and the Gwinnett Archaeological Society. The update includes a short summary about the archaeological work at Fort Daniel and the current analysis work that is ongoing. This month’s newsletter also includes a short writeup about the inclusion of the Peachtree Center Historic District on the National Register. Finally, the newsletter includes a list of all the exciting events coming up in May.

Don’t forget the next meeting is on May 8 at 6:30pm at Fernbank Natural History Museum.
