The SGA is soliciting presentations for the 2012 Fall Meeting, to be held Saturday, October 27th, at the Columbus Museum’s Patrick Theater. We will listen to presentations in the morning, take a break for lunch (we may organize box lunches—stay tuned), then tour in the afternoon (including the acclaimed National Civil War Naval Museum).

We welcome papers on all subjects for this meeting. Students are encouraged to participate. Click here to access a PDF of the Call for Papers.

Papers that focus on archaeological research in Georgia or the bordering states will be considered for the program. Each presenter should plan for a presentation of 20 minutes. Please contact Lynn Pietak to submit your title by September 15 (in time for inclusion in The Profile); email your title and abstract (100 words) to Lynn. First come, first served; the number of slots is limited. Questions?—please call 770.823.8709. The SGA charges all attendees, including presenters, a modest registration fee.

Meeting organizers have reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn, 2800 Manchester Expressway (32.50585,-84.95230). The rate is $79 per night and includes a hot breakfast. The toll-free number is 888-465-4329; the front desk number is 706-324-0231. The hotel is about five miles from the Museum.
